Risk Management

The Risk Manager of the Human Resources Department is responsible for the insurance, safety, and risk-related matters pertaining to the operations of the City of Salem.

Salem has partnered with VML to provide risk and safety management services to all City departments. Our goal is to provide effective customer service and assistance in handling the risk and safety management needs of the citizens and employees of the City.

Responsibilities

  • Assist departments, employees, and residents of the City in the areas of insurance, employee injury, property loss, and other risk-related matters
  • Provide assistance and guidance with regard to insurance, risk analysis, and safety training
  • Provide administration of property, general liability, and worker's compensation claims
